  1. Hi, I am a Gameboy Micro owner OXY001 (EUR) Silver. I made some googleling and bump in to this site. I can’t believe that there is actually a custom faceplate. And to think that Nintendo never did released them offline. Thanks for giving hope for my Micro.

I would also like to request a youtube video on how you install this faceplates. I kinda like to have an experience of what it’s like to have one. I really need this plates. πŸ˜€

  2. I can do that.

They’re pretty simple to install. It’s essentially a sticker. Just take your time, line it up, and press it on πŸ™‚

I’ll check out your youtube channel for that installation video. Meanwhile I enjoyed viewing your micro face plates and wondered how wide the possibilities are with designs. πŸ˜€

  7. Thanks for that.

Would it be possible for your site to come up with something, that a costumer may design for their own? And pack that micro face plates in 3’s for a single shipping? Of course each with it’s own box is still good for me. More power on your future developments. πŸ˜€

  8. The faceplates are $30 and the red Fancy Pants Buttons are $5 a set (+$3 shipping within the US). I’m taking pre-orders for the next batch right now, so just let me know if you’re interested and I’ll get an paypal invoice over to ya.

  9. I have a template uploaded for anyone that wants to give it a go. I don’t have the ability to build a custom piece of code to let people tinker with it on the site though. Photoshop is obviously good for getting your ideas to me, but if that’s not an option, then the Gimp is a really nice freeware alternative.

  12. Just to clarify (I have a paranoia streak a mile wide):
Will these be actual faceplates or will these be super-fancy stickers that go over existing plates? I am ashamed to say I have failed to read product descriptions in the past and have been very disappointed with the consequences.

  21. Hello wiggy, I would like to know if there are 2 types of faceplates. Based off of the pictures provided, I can see some sort of puffy lifted type of faceplate. As for the other, it seems to be some sort of thin plastic. Is this type of faceplate as thick as the original faceplate? I fear that I might bend it at some point if I am rough with the micro. As for the type of design I am interested in, I would like to know how much would a plain black faceplate would cost. Thank you!

  22. There is just ONE variety that I offer. I assume that you’re looking at the side-by-side images of the green and orange units? The green faceplate is original and just for comparison. The orange faceplate is what ALL of mine look like.

It’s nearly the exact same thickness as the original, just a different material and is held on with adhesive rather than plastic clips. So, keep in mind, this is meant to be a more permanent solution to the problem. These are not easily popped on and off on a whim.

It’s worth noting that they are made from a softer resin material than the original plates. While that may sound like a bad thing, they’re actually quite resistant to scuffs and scratches πŸ™‚

The price for any pre-made design is $30 + $3 shipping within the US.

  23. I was wondering if I could purchase/pre order a black NES faceplate please!

Also, do you think it would look good with the black buttons? I like the lowercase letters on them and would probably not want to change them, though the one pictured does look cool! And are the words on the faceplate orange or red?

  24. Sure! Just send me an email via the contact tab up top letting me know exactly what you want and I’ll send an invoice over ASAP.

I can’t make the buttons with the letters on them. They’re made with an over-molding process originally, which would be extremely time consuming for me to replicate via casting. I can only do flat color, no decal/graphic.

It’s red. As close to the original NES colors as it gets πŸ™‚

Do these actually protect the screen i.e. is the center part a clear plastic protector or is it cut-out, leaving the screen exposed?

  51. Hello, I just want to know if you still do these faceplates for GBM and if you can ship to France.
Also, i wanted to know if this faceplate is replacing the orginal one entirely (cause mine’s borken) or if it is just a sticker you put on the original one.
And finally if i can have some sort of price if i order 2 faceplates of different colors (cause i have a pink and a green GBM).
Thank you very much, your work looks awesome !
