So these are what I came up with for the next round. I’d love to hear what you guys and gals think before I spend the big $$$ to order a batch. I plan on ordering a lot more of the most popular designs from the last round as well, so don’t fret if you’re holding out for one of those designs.
First up, The Hyrule Special. I wanted to do something really unique for this one since it’s by far and away my own personal favorite Nintendo franchise. What will make this so special is the triforce itself. It’s gold leaf. Yes. Real gold leaf.
So, these aren’t gonna be cheap. I need to know from you folks whether or not going all out like this is worth some extra $$$. I don’t have an exact price yet, but will soon. I also plan on special packaging (big shock, right?) for them.
And these little guys should be pretty self-explanatory, I just want to hear some feedback from all of ya’.
So, let me know what you think. I’d like to place an order ASAP since I’ve got quite a few people who’ve already put deposits down for the older designs and some have done so for their own, unique designs 🙂

I’ll be getting one blue for sure, it’ll match the pal micro I have. You know I’m all about the cute yellow electric pocket monsters though too, wouldn’t mind seeing a design of those. I also have a silver micro that probably needs some paint though to match.

Hi I am very interested in the Pokemon face plates, however I do have a concern. A friend who has ordered from you before told me that the clear part of the face plates you design are a bit cloudy(not as clear) as the original face plates, will these designs be the same way?

I’d really like to buy a Zelda plate, especially if it looks as nice as this one, but I wouldn’t pay extra for one with gold leaf. It sounds great in principle, but my hands are going to be all over it, and it would just end up being abused. Just golden plastic would be good with me.

Hmm. The clarity on the couple I have installed here is pretty spot on. I can snap some comparison pics if that’ll help.
There may be some sort of problem or defect with your friend’s plate. Tell him to send me a message if it’s bothering him and I’ll see what I can do.

I love the Zelda one. My goodness are you talented. I also loved those ones you made back then, the Metroid one especially but you’re probably sold out of those. I just got my micro, and love it except it has this ugly camouflage face plate. I would love to order the Zelda one, shoot me an email if you want to help me out.

Ok I would interested in the Zelda one (with gold) but I’m still not clear on how to install them. Just sticking them on the existing faceplate? Or can I swap them? Because sticking gold on the existing one would be kind of a waste.
Also I’m interested in the Neo Geo Pocket Color Light mod. But still on the fence since I would have to ship my NGPC overseas. Is there really no way you could get your hands on one in black or silver? (I would be paying of course)

Not at all. This uses an all new backlit LCD from the 2nd generation GBA SP. the afterburner is a front light system. Works well, but there’s no comparison in terms of image quality with the kit that I sell. Worlds apart.

The real gold ended up being way to pricey, so I went with a metallic gold foil instead, which brought the price down to the same as the rest of the designs.

Also, how did you produce the face plates? Did you render them using AutoCADD and send them into a producer, or did you use some other method?

Use the how to order tab up top and let me know what design or designs you’d like.
They are made using a printed decal that’s encased in a clear resin to give it as much of the depth and shape of the original faceplate as possible.
They’re made using adobe illustrator. Nothing more than a simple 2D template that I made along with the vector graphics 😉
