Thanks again to everyone who has supported us over the last year! We are very happy that our passion has been appreciated by so many cool people all over the world. As a token of our appreciation we are going to give away a super special edition modded GBA along with a slew of other cool prizes for 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Entering the contest is easy:
Simply like us on facebook.
The complete details for the contest will be announced early this week.
Good luck everybody!
GBA 40-pin and 32-pin Backlight Kits are officially back in stock and available at the web store. We also have glass lenses back in stock as well. http://rosecoloredgaming.com/kits.html
This is a sneak peak at the “Unga Bunga” which will be available through the store at some point in the future. It’s part of a new “Caveman” series we are experimenting with. The buttons and D-pad have actual pebbles embedded in the resin. The bumpers and L-R buttons are carved out and hand painted with our own special patina to give it the flintstone effect.
We have just completed a full teardown of the 2DS to expose it’s metal guts. If you are interested in seeing our more detailed photos and the full nintendolife.com article by Damien McFerran here it is. You can expect to see a nice mod of this unit in the near future so stay tuned here and like us on facebook to get regular updates of our progress on this and other mod projects.
Here are the 2 Ebay auctions:
One is for the only Mother cart we have made. The other is for our last Earthbound cart produced. Both have the special illuminated globe, and both are the last chance. So in the event you are not one of the winners in our drawing, you can bid on one of these, the auctions have started as of this post, and will last until next Thursday at 5pm EST. Both auctions are free shipping to US residents and come with a free t-shirt. We also are donating 25% of the sale price to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Good luck!
The last batch of Earthbound carts are ready to be sold … however to be fair to everyone on earth, we are going to have a facebook drawing to see who they will be sold to. The cost is $200 + shipping. To enter for your chance to buy one of the last carts, simply send us a message on our facebook page with “EARTHBOUND” in the subject and include your email. We will close the facebook drawing at 12:00 noon Eastern US time tomorrow and message the winners with their invoice. Thanks to Stone Age Gamer for the collectors edition Bit Cases we used.
If you win, you must pay for the item within 48 hours or it will go to the next winner.
There will be 2 auctions going up after this contest is complete. 1 will be for the “Mother” light-up Earthboud Zero cart which is the only one in existence made by Rose Colored Gaming. And the other auction is for the very last Earthbound Zero cart that also has a light up globe. Below is a preview of these 2 items which will be on Ebay shortly. We will be donating 25% of the winning bid price to Make A Wish charity. Please note, all EB0 carts are not made for toaster-style front-loading NES systems, they are designed for top loading systems to be able to show off the design.
Well, the last batch of EB0 carts are done an we’re gonna be unloading them ASAP.
Yes, that is a white “Mother” version in there. It’s the only one we’ve ever made. It also lights up (as shown above). And it made of platinum. Ok, so it’s not made of platinum, but the other stuff is true. It will be for sale as well, just not sure how we’re gonna arrange that yet…
